Overview:
±¬ÁϳԹÏÍøstudents are well-versed in government, nonprofit, and policy issues. Employers seeking highly qualified interns can contact Internship Coordinator Laureana Benitez at laureana@arizona.edu to post internship opportunities on our website. Please note, ±¬ÁϳԹÏÍødoes not award credit for campaigns for non-elected officials.
How Employers Can Participate:
Provide a description of your organization
Include internship application instructions
Add relevant details to attract applicants
Student Internship Requirements
On-site Hours: Students must complete on-site hours to earn academic credit (1 credit = 40 hours)
Coursework: Students also complete coursework in addition to internship hours
Internship Manual: Review the ±¬ÁϳԹÏÍøInternship Manual for a comprehensive overview of internships within the department.
Internship Enrollment Process:
Once a student secures an internship, they must enroll in the ±¬ÁϳԹÏÍøinternship course by submitting a work plan
Work plan requires internship site supervisor's signature
Students submit the work plan to finalize enrollment
Reporting and Supervision:
Students must submit two reports (mid-term and final) while actively interning
Supervisors meet with students twice during the semester to review performance

Summer Session 2025
The Summer 2025 section will occur from June 9 - Aug 11
Students must submit work plans by June 3
Fall Session 2025
The Fall 2025 session will occur from August 25 - December 9
